Hi y'all
It's been a long time since I've posted and thankfully, I'm still alcohol free (2yrs and 15 days since I went cold turkey).
I had a question though-does anyone experience a foggy mind after drinking here and there? I notice that since I quit drinking, my mind would grt foggy more then it does before I started drinking. If so, how did you all deal with it?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Not sure what you mean by foggy but if this is still going on, you may want to let your doctor know about it.
It can take up to a year for the brain to heal completely but that might depend on how much drinking you previously did and for how long. I remember my dad drank for many years and would go on massive binges lasting up to 3 weeks at a time. Most of us were surprised it didn't take his life. I think he was in his 50's when he finally quit drinking for good. Later in his life he was having some neurological problems and a subsequent MRI showed brain damage from his years of alcohol abuse. He lived to be 81 just the same but his death was indirectly blamed on his years of alcoholism..,
The only fog I ever had, I think, was when I woke up with a hangover.
God Bless
