Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Seems that can become habit forming and those are the people who are suspicious of everyone and there's a bad motive behind everything anyone does.
There's good and evil in each of us. Just depends on which we choose to nurture. Progress.
Thanks for a thought-provoking post (HTL & Nemo).

"Don't hate the sinner, hate the sin."
Compassion is so important even for those people who act out wrongly, not to mention "wrong" is sometimes a matter of perspective.
On the same token, "sick" does not excuse wrongdoing. I have a hard time responding to people who I think are sick but have good hearts.
Motivation speakers often talk about how people need to stop telling themselves what not to do and instead focus on what they need to be doing. For instance, when a novice golfer sees a water hazard in front of them, the start to think, "don't hit it in the water, don't hit it in the water..." What they should do is change their thoughts to what they should do, which would be to hit it straight or to lay up on the shot. When you tell yourself what you should do and not what you shouldn't do, your mind has a chance to do actually do something in reality and there is more of a likelihood of bringing about the desired result.
Nice proverb Chris. I like. Interesting. Someone shared with me once... If you find yourself to be angry for longer than 15 minutes, you are probably enjoying it too much. I tend to enjoy fantasizing on what I should have said or done in response to someone who has angered me. It is satisfying to imagine revenge. I read it is our ego trying to build itself and heal its wound. There is that ego again ;).
That's a good policy for most of life's challenges. Focus on what you are for to get more of it.
Not sure what "haters" have to do with it...sounds like juniorhigh-speak for unpleasantness....as for "killing with kindness" ...yeah... let's ponder that some more.
I see his name and automatically think LSD

Compost.... "I hate haters" was intended to demonstrate the focus on evil and the irony I perceive in doing so. ...in a juniorhigh speak sorta way, yea. ...Gosh, I expected the quote be commented, not my remarks. I was just adding my apparently juvenile flav.
I'll keep quiet now.
