Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

First day, AGAIN! Two bottles of wine every night for 5 years. Spent the last five years in denial. Looked in the mirror today and I've aged massively, put loads of weight on. My skin is covered in broken blood vessels. Alcohol has taken over my life and I don't know how to change that. I usually last about 3 days before I give in. The nightmares and restless nights kick in.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It really sucks to look in the mirror and see how bad it's gotten. I hate that I have broken capillaries on my face, I'm so self conscious but there are remedies for it out there.
Keep your chin up. We will both get there.
Has anything changed, or is the the 5 years of bloated, blood vessel, excess weight still there? That's your willpower you're staring at. It has let you down repeatedly.
Circles of friends, bad situations, hurt feelings all can be managed without alcohol or you have the tools.
Go to an AA meeting today. It's life changing.
If it can help I can send you the infos of the guy who helped me quit.
