Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I got through day one of sobriety. I've felt awful all day for screwing up again last night. I'm so tired of being disappointed in myself. So I know I need to make changes to be proud of myself instead. I think this will help with my depression as well. I hate who I am when I drink. For a while it numbs me to what I'm feeling but eventually only amplifies it. And it makes my depression worse. So I decided today had to be day one. I can't continue down this path. All it's doing is killing me. I've been fighting all day to focus on positive things and ways I can make my life better. I know getting sober is the first step.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

If you find that you cannot do it alone, don't be afraid to ask for help.
God Bless
You see, I started to use the booze as a crutch to hold me up when things were bad in life but all I was doing to masking the real problems. In the end I became addicted to the very thing I thought was helping me.......
Alcohol is a poison - it poisons our bodies and our minds - what you have to do is stop alcohol from poisoning your future.
"For a while it numbs me to what I'm feeling but eventually only amplifies it. And it makes my depression worse."
This is the end result - guaranteed. And alcoholic may get lucky and have a good time with alcohol, but the negative will always outweigh the positive.
