Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I am getting divorced. Wife bragged to me about how great her new lover is and asked for the divorce. Even has an engagement ring!
How can I stay calm and civil when I really want to kill someone or take a drink! I ran 3 miles tonight and I feel a little better.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

You know what you need to do. It's just up to you take some action in getting there. Place your trust where it needs to be.
Big hug!!
No. You can't do that. It will take a bad situation and make it beyond belief awful.
Go to meetings. I don't know if you believe in God, but if you do, you might find comfort in church.
Three miles is a good run -- exercise helps! Take care of you, Bob. I am sorry you are having a tough time.
Jersey, common sense always prevails in me. I have over 4 years and don't want to break my record.
Thanks!

He may be right, but you won't notice it over night.
Hang in there
Drinking can only make this situation way way worse. And I'd be willing to bet if you stay sober, you'll look back at this as a gift. Shitty as it may seem at the moment.
So run, reach out to other alcoholics, share like you are here and in real life and don't even consider drinking an option.
I am really confused.
Help me out, please if u can.
"She showed me what looked like a friendship ring and said it was an engagement ring and that he asked her to marry him and she said yes. 5 minutes later she said he would probably never be back up here again".
Do you really need anyone's advice?
