How many of you prefer gourmet coffee over that cheap, stale, awful, AA coffee?
When I was drunk I couldn't tell the difference but my taste buds seem to have regenerated since I became sober 3 plus years ago.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
I am not much of a coffee drinker, I like a nice cup of tea... but it has to be nice.
Coffee - I like the gourmet stuff!
I don't somehow think AAs in service will be taking courses in becoming coffee baristas... by the time they've prepared all those skinny lattes, Americanos, Cappuchinos, Mocchachinos etc the meeting will be over.
I hear that most meetings last for just an hour in the USA and Canada. Over here in England our meetings are generally 90 minutes so we may have an advantage there!
Every meeting I ever went to lasted an hour except an awards one which was an hour and a half. Alot of people had alot of years sobriety that were celebrating!

I prefer my coffee at home to AA coffee. It isn't gourmet, just good dark roasted beans.
And I prefer my time at home over AA meetings. Every now and then I consider going to a meeting, but after everything I read here about AA it no longer interests me. I did get a very nice donut once.
None of the meetings I have attended has had coffee.
When I was visiting England, I didn't get a decent cup of coffee the entire time, except for an espresso at some Italian place near Picadilly Circus.
I do like a good dark roast and get Starbucks to brew at home when I can get it on sale. Having it right now as a matter of fact and I'm enjoying it tremendously. :-)
At this stage, I think I make better coffee than I can get at Starbucks, so I make a big batch in the morning.
Good water plays a big role- use filtered water instead of tap, and it makes all the difference in the world.
I'm a big fan of hazlenut, but other than that I'll take it black!

Whos tom I usually bring my own that I make at home or else I'll leave early and stop at a gourmet coffee house to get a large cup so I can have something to sip on at the meeting!
Exjersey, If these storms become a habit, I might have to buy studded snow tires, wife has to travel 30 miles one way to go to work,
Queenie, I never heard of an AA meeting that didn't offer free coffee!
Coogee, we have a Gloria Jeans here. It's a couple hours away but when there, I always stop in and get some Jamaican coffee. They have a special one grown at a certain altitude and it costs $50 per pound. I usually purchase a half pound at a time. I have to admit, it is an awesome cup of coffee!
