I notice that as well but they rip apart on me. I have a 34inch waist. Even the depend briefs leak so what I did to not waste the goodnites is I use them and then wear depend pullups over top. That way if the leg rips it wont move out of place.

I've used Goodnites while away from home in the past and they always worked great for me, so I never really tried anything else in terms of wearable protection. Now I've gotten to the point where if I'm away for only 1 or 2 nights I'm confident that if I take enough precautions (watching my fluids really carefully, setting my watch alarm for a couple hours after bedtime) I can be confident of staying dry. In unfamiliar sleeping locations I tend to sleep a lot lighter, which really helps me because I can sometimes wake up even 2 or 3 times during the night and get up and pee when I need to. If I stay someplace for a longer term then I'll use Goodnites if I really need to keep it a secret, but if it's a friend who knows about my problem (a few of my close friends do) I'll just use a portable plastic-lined underpad I got from Target for 10 bucks. It keeps the mattress protected and makes it much easier to go to sleep.

At home I wear cotton diaapers and polyurethane pants 24/7. When i must travel, I use Molicare or Abena, at night with added pad absorbency. My neurological situation makes a full niight's sleep mandatory. If I lose sleep, the next day will always be embarrassing, because I'll stagger, occasionally fall, and generally make a scene, and all the by-standers will know I'm incontinent.

The Abena products work well for me when I'm away. I've worn them more at home now too most of the time. I usually don't even know if I'm wet until I wake up in the morning to change. Other products don't remove the wetness well enough. I used to deal with laundry at home, but it was really disruptive to my sleep, having to change (me, the sheets, my bed). Not to mention smelling like it, so I'd have to take a shower sometimes. By the time it was all said and done, I was awake for two or three hours, which was getting out of control.

hi i wear tranquilty atn i am a heavy be wetter and the depends never work for me they are paper thing and leaked when i got them at the store and they ran out every time i was there too. and it is hard going to public buying them and people stare at you. i now buy mail order through www.hdis.com

Hello , At Home i wear the Abena overnight diaper and most morning's i'm wet and feel well rested the other brands i have used i never got the well rested feeling in the morning and i do use a disposable underpad just incase i run out of over night diaper's .

At home I just keep a plastic cover on the mattress and deal with the wet sheets and clothes in the morning when I wet (only a few times a month) when sleeping away I wear Goodnites or now UnderJams. I put them on just before I go to bed and wear baggy B-ball shorts and boxers or boxer-briefs over them so no one knows. So far no one has ever found out and I ahve not wet anyone's bed.

My dad has one of those sleeping pads for wetters that I use.

For me we have a plastic cover on the bed then a waterproof pad on top of that then a smaller "bedwetter's" pad on the side of the bed I sleep on. When we are away from home I usually wear Goodnites. They work for me and fit good and are much more less embarassing to use then having to tell the holtel staff you wet their bed. Or even worst a relative who does not know about your bedwetting that you wet thier bed.

I have a pretty easy formula. When away from home, I take my most absorbant disposable diaper, a diaper doubler, waterproof pant and a cloth waterproof pad that I bought at CVS for the bed. I love these pads. They're inexpensive - very comfortable - easily washed through hotel services, if needed, and provides complete confidence if I leak.

When I went to Honk Kong last year I specifically booked in an hotel that stated that they catered for disabilities. I found the Luxe Manor Hotel in Tsim Tsa Tsui, Kwoloon. http://www.theluxemanor.com/prelude.php. I e-mailed them ahead to say that I while I was a bedwetter, I usually was OK as I would wear a diaper. I was treated with dignity and respect when I arrived. The manager said "I do not want you to not enjoy your stay because of your inconvenience" How nice, I thought, "they had not allocated my room but once they had they would 'adjust' the bed". When I got to my room after a wander about town, there was a plastic cover under the sheets and a hand written note saying that if I ever needed sheets changing to just call housekeeping. On top of a bin in the toilet there were about a dozen diaper sacks.

Just perfect. What service and not a hint of difficulty or embarrassment. It was just like I'd asked for some ice.

So.. investigate and tell in advance, you'll be amazed at how accommodating and understanding some places are. Always look for references to disability.

I tend to use Tenna adult diapers when away from home. They work well and dont leak. Also easy to buy.

I actually use the Depends. However, I wear the maximum protection diapers, not the pullups. I guess the type of protection just varies with each person. I'd try a thicker diaper such as Depends Maximum. I usually wet at least twice in one night and I very rarely have a leak. What ever diaper works best for you should be the one that you choose.
