I just thought to check for a thread on DS that talks about Adrenal Fatigue. It's been driving me crazy lately. I'd love to chat with others about this!

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...
When I was reading Terry Wahls' book, she referenced coming off all supplements at one point and that's how she realized they were actually doing something for her (I've gone through that state of mind too). My NDMD had me get some pregnenolone to help my body, also a supplement called adrenal (I take a vegetarian one) and DHEA. She retired though so I need to find an endocrinologist as they're are not a lot of NDMD's around here. (they're not on the insurance plan either).
I think the magnesium is a huge thing. Speaking of supplements, I have to order some things. I put it off for too long sometimes. I am sorry you're both bed-ridden currently. Since it's Valentine's next week, I'm thinking this is a good time to warm up for the day with small acts of kindness . . . for ourselves. When we love ourselves, it helps us feel so much better, and gives a nice boost to our dopamine and serotonin levels, all those "feel good" hormones. ♥

Our "Dr. Oz" had on his show this week some pointers for insomnia although you probably have heard them before. Here's one short video. If it's old news, at least it may be entertaining.☺

I have a friend who is a fruitarian. I have blood sugar problems due to my adrenal fatigue and if I only eat fruit, I usually end up fainting. I have been told to go off all fruit and carbs to stabilize my blood sugar and also aid my adrenals. I keep intending on doing this but just can't get it together. I'm vegetarian , I find it difficult to eliminate all the carbs. I think a fruit fast could be good for you short term Lorrie, to alkalize your body but as a permanent diet, I think would be too extreme. Of course we all have individual bodies. Sometimes I do a vegie juice fast for a couple of days and it really helps with my stomach issues. However I cannot move around or do anything much while I'm fasting .I'm so down today. Wish I could go for a swim. I bought new bathers a year ago and haven't even used them because I am always too damn weak to swim. I live in the tropics...what a joke. Only I am not laughing. Sorry. I'm a misery bum today for sure. Just the smallest amount of valium makes me sick too. I hate drugs. I better go. I'm not good association for even myself. Love and gratitude xo
We can overcome this in our own special ways, hoopoe
