Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) Support Group
Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), also known as acute myeloid leukemia, is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells. Patients with AML usually present with symptoms such as fatigue, bleeding, infection, prompting medical attention. An abnormal blood test reading will then result in further testing in a hospital with a hematologist to determine AML.
Karen- platelets bounce all over, it's perfectly normal and expected, after transplant. Remember what we went thru, down for almost two weeks, then slow steady climb up. Sounds like he's doing great! Can't believe he's cleared to return to work! Awesome. But mostly I am so glad he's home w his wife and daughter

Lea I can't believe they returned him to work either.
Everyone continues to be in my prayers and it is so relieving to see everyone's posts and that they are doing well.

I just spoke with Larissa, who is at day 72 and doing well. She is dealing with dehydration that requires her to receive saline infusions and requests prayers for her upcoming day 100 bmb
