About Me

I watched my mom struggle and fight chronic pain and a number of other ailments for more than a decade. Recently, she couldn\'t take the agony anymore, and the knowing that things would never get better. She took her life a few months ago, and while I miss her beyond words and the grief is excruciating, I understand her choice. But no one else really does... This was such a great support for me years ago when I was struggling with a bad relationship. Now, I know that I will meet others who understand my mom\'s pain and my own pain. It\'s horrific the way our medical system basically ignores chronic pain, and still hasn\'t found better ways to meet the needs of patients.
