About Me

I am a 30-ish Registered Nurse, working in a nursing home, started with a new job about a year ago. I love to practice yoga, read, ride my bike, go fishing, and enjoy the outdoors and animals. I wish I had more time to do those things. I am time management challenged. I had a mixed childhood, unconditional love from my Grandmother, mixed messages and abuse from my mother. I was placed in foster care at age 16. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Struggled with an abusive relationship in my early twenties. Had a lot of interests and began my career as a nurse at age 25. I often feel I should have gone to Art school when I had the chance. I have many of the symptoms of PTSD, which began for me as a child. I was hit by a car while crossing the street in February 2013, and that triggered PTSD flare ups. My neck & back are in recovery, lots of appointments to go to, and just realizing recently that I have suffered some undiagnosed concussions which have contributed to my emotional and decision making problems. I get anxious about the traffic & crowds in the city where I live. I get weary. I want peace and quiet and privacy, but I often feel lonely, as it is difficult for me to keep in touch with my friends and to be outgoing or reach out to others to make new relationships. I had also filed for chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2013, credit card debt & expenses of living were too much, and I have been working on forgiving myself and healing the guilt of such failures in my life. **Jesus still loves me**No matter how many times I have messed up. My life is a work in progress. I wish I had a more supportive family, but my family is more dysfunctional than anything. I do love them and I have learned how to forgive those of them that had abused me in the past. Forgiving myself is my next goal.
