  My son will be charged with at least two measure 11 crimes, which carry mandatory minimums in Oregon, both in the 2nd degree. HOWEVER, house bill 2379 states that certain crimes, including the ones my son committed and the defendent meets certain criteria, and my son meets it all, a judge can sentence him under pre-measure 11 guidelines.No guarantee, but.......Please give any suggestions of wording and /or what to say that may help him.Thia is his best shot.Thanks all

  My 18 year old son had a sexual encounter with a 13 yo girl. It was a mutual event, with her making the first sexual advance.When the cops questioned him, he ignorantly confessed due to fear of what the cops were telling him. Me or his mother didn't even know he was taken in.We live in Oregon so basically, he confessed to 4 measure 11 crimes.He messed up, he knows this. He broke the law and needs to answer. But 25 years for one time....... Only time he's ever been in trouble. I'm so scared for...
