About Me

I am a newly retired teacher. I was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years. Sometimes over the last 19 years with the bi polar and anxiety it was tough. I miss the children but it is time to move on. I hope that I have left a few of the many students that I encountered over the years with positive memories and a good role model. I have a wonderful husband of 25 years and a terrific 26 year old daughter.We are a closely knit family. I am very fortunate to still have both of my parents near by and very healthy. I enjoy talking and communicating with my friends on a weekly bases. I have a passion for gardening, it\'s very theraputic. I love to decorate my house and am always on the look out for that special something a room needs. I am also extremely organized, a little OCD in this area.LOL!! I take pleasure in doing and learning new crafts such as primitve rug hooking, tole painting, knitting etc.. I have strong spiritual beliefs. Recently, have been hit with the traveling bug, specifically cruising. I loved to help people whether it\'s designing and putting in a garden, renovating a room, listening to their problems, just about anything that makes me feel useful. My friends and family are extremely important to me. I battle with bi polar 11, OCD, anxiety, and perfectionism but I try not to let it get me down. I battle it tooth and nail. I am always looking for ways to brighten up the days of people who suffer as I do. It is not a death sentence, it is simple something we must live with and learn techniques to control. We must control it, not it controlling us.
