Status: Scoliosis with Harrington Rods and Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction Pain ruining my life.
About Me
Hi All, I am 35 and had Harrington Rods inserted in my back in 1996 when I was 14 to correct my scoliosis. I live with pain from scoliosis everyday and have body insecurities from my hips not being symmetrical and my right shoulder blade sticking out and my shoulder rolled forward. The last 4 years since 2013 I have suffered the most unimaginable pain from sacroiliac joint arthritis/dysfunction. I resigned from work and took a year out, saw countless specialists and had every scan and test you can imagine. The pain has changed my life for the worse and I recently just cancelled my dream holiday to Dubai because I can't handle the flight or expectations of my friends. I had my nerves burnt in my sacroiliac joint 9 days ago and am still in agony so just wanted to join somewhere where people can relate and we can have a moan and support one another. It makes me feel very alone and scared of my future. I don't know what my future holds, if my body will develop new problems due to my scoliosis, if I will be able to hold down a job etc. Just wanted to be part of something where we all feel like we are not the only ones suffering.
