  Hi,I was diagnosed with Graves Disease in July of 2016.  I’ve been on methimazole since then and have changed dosages a few times.  I’ve gone from 10 to 5 to 10 to 15 and back again.  This past week the Dr. put me back on 15 and told me it’s time we talked as I really needed to have RAI or Thyroid Removal.    I don’t want either one and I’m really scared.   Hi, I’m hoping if I post my info, someone can give me some insight. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease in July of 2016 (this is the 2nd bout with it).  I’ve been on 10 mg of methimazole since then.  At one point they dropped me to .5 mg but they ended up increasing me back to 10 mg. This past August, I started acupuncture and it really seemed to help with the anxiety.   Hi, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease on 7/29/16.  This is the 2nd time around for me. The first time was in 2014 and I went into remission in 8 months.  This time, not so lucky.I was on 10mg of Methimazole until April, 2017.  My TSH went up a bit - not a lot but a bit so they cut me back to 5mg.  The 5mg wasn't enough so they put me up to 7.5mg.  Now that isn't enough so I'm back on 10mg.  I think they cut my dosage back a little too soon.
