  Does Mtx wain in effectiveness as the time passes between doses . By this I mean I take my MTX 6 pills once a week . I take them on Tuesday am . As the week goes along it seems to be less effective . Is this consistent with MTX ? Thanks Chris

   SO a few months back tried my first Pred. Loved it no pain , energy , just felt better. Then I tried sulfasalesine (sorry cant spell ) . That caused swelling in my throat. Paqquinil gave my brother, who was on it for lyme , at trip to the er and being cardioverted. So end of June ish started MTX 4 pills once a week and 1 folic acid .No prednisone. After almost 2 months started feeling better so doc upped me to 6 pills once a week and 2 folic acid .Was working better was finally able to work...

  Ok so it has been a bit of time since my last post . Started prednisone approx 6 or 7 weeks ago . Started on sulfasalezine 2 weeks later . Ater a week on the sulfa... I began to get a lump in my throught that got larger with each does . Stopped the sulfa... dr considered a quinine based drug cant spell name but brother had life threatening arythmia due to it so no. Now I am on 5mg pred.every other day and hopefully none in 10 days . Methotrexate is my rheumotologist next choice . What should I...
