Sorry sorry sorry I'm in crisis!
Right after I finished my previous journal writing and I'm sitting on my deck. It's was already dark and I had worked late. I see these flashing lights from the street. I didn't think too much about it but then my neighbor texted me and said are you ok? So I went inside and looked out my front door and a I saw fire trucks and then I looked down and my garage door was open and I saw people down there. So I came back in and yelled to Summer what's going on? She came up and said Larry (her husband) overdosed on heroin. She said he just wanted to try it so you can only imagine I'm in shock and I go downstairs and Larry is sitting there in his underwear it's yes mam and no mam and there's a sheriff there and theirs drugs and needles and a suitcase. The sheriff kept saying we could take you to jail. And I'm saying , why aren't you taking them to jail? They're using in my house and he almost OVerdosed and I'm sitting on the deck. So they took them to jail! I call Larry's mom and then my son, Jeremy who lives in my neighborhood and he didn't answer and he goes to bed really early. Because I'm so upset I go over there and beat on his door and ring his door bell. So of course there's no sleeping tonight and they show up at my door around 1:30 am trying to get there stuff. I'm like how did get out of jail? Anyway I let them get a few things but OMG. I remember telling the Sherriff about Justin. What a night! I had so much hope for her! I'm so disappointed

Wishing you could have some peace. I cannot imagine what this is like to deal with and hope you can find some strength. Sending you hugs. xoxox
I don't even know how to start this comment.... My heart aches. There's anger involved too. I'm just SO very sorry you had to experience that!!! I will never understand anyone saying they "just want to try heroin". It's just beyond my brains ability to understand. I guess someone had to get them out of jail, but I can't imagine them being able to leave jail so quickly. That certainly hasn't been my son's experience. Even to bail someone out would take time....I'm guessing. I've never once bailed my son out of jail....never will! After all you've been through; my heart is just broken for you. I'm assuming the quantity of drugs was under some sort of limit, otherwise I don't think he would have been released. I HATE heroin!!!!!!!!!! I'm just so sorry!
Oh my dear...this is just not right on so many levels. If they were that "equipped" with the necessary supplies, something tells me that this is perhaps not the first time.
I am enraged that they did this to you in your own home...in the safety of your home!
You are going through enough right now. Please, Please find some comfort and peace.
Love,
Ann
I am SO sorry and please take care of yourself and keep your safety and boundaries ALL about you as that is the only thing you do have some semblance of control over.
The disappointment, the heartache, the worry... All of it... Standing beside you and grateful that you knew where to come to BE.
Gentle, gentle care in the midst of what I know must be so many feelings and emotions. Oy....
Hand in hand, Heart to heart,
XO Joanie
just sending love , hugs and prayers my friend....
Oh Deanie...oh Deanie. This hurts me for you.
I agree with Ann...it doesn't sound like a first time thing to me either. I have been reading articles about a sharp increase in heroin overdoses in certain cities and they believe that the heroin is laced with some type of opiod. I can't remember the name of it but it is supposed to be 100X stronger than Fentanyl. Why on earth wouldn't your daughter have come up and alerted you herself?? I'm so sorry...I get so caught up in feeling sorry for myself and envious of Moms with many children, but those big, happy Norman Rockwell families exist mainly in my mind, I suppose. I hope you get some rest tonight.
So apparently here in Alabama you can bond yourself out of jail is you pay 10% of the bond and Larry had some money. I called the Sherriff office today to see what they were charged with. And how they got out so quickly. It was a felony and 2 misdemeanors .but Larrys told his mom they were turning in the dealer to get the charge reduced. I've never gotten Summer out of jail either but she usually finds someone to get her out. She called 911 and paramedics gave him the drug to start his heart. Anyway I was irate last night and they came today to start moving their stuff and their animals. So my house is peaceful again but my heart is very sad.
Deanie I'm so sorry you had to go through this. After the loss of a child, seems like our emotions & nervous system is hyper sensitive. Just everyday stress can weigh us down, but something like this can take us over the edge. I'm thankful that your home is peaceful now so you can continue to heal. I'm hugging you as tight as I can my sweet friend.
I'm so hopeful you can find some calmness and peace. Very sorry to hear of his near fateful use. Sending my hug and thoughts your way. Debbie
