"Please don't ask me..."
Please don't ask me if I'm over it yet. I'll never get over it. Please don't tell me he's in a better place. He's not here with me. Please don't say he isn't suffering any more. I haven't come to terms of why he had to suffer at all. Please don't tell me how you feel Unless you've lost someone in the same way. Please don't ask me if I feel better. Bereavement isn't a condition that clears up. Please don't tell me at least you had him for so many years. What year would you like your loved one to die? Please don't tell me God never gives us more than we can bear. Please just say you're sorry. Please just say you remember my loved one if you do. Please mention my loved one's name. Please be patient with me when I am sad. Please just let me cry. Unknown Author

I was crying so hard reading that. It is so true. We will never get over the loss of our children. I hate it when someone tells me Jackie is in a better place. Who could love her more than me,who could comfort her more than me. If there is a GOD (no disrespect to those have faith), he would never think a mother could bear the loss of her child. My grief, my heartache, my pain will never end. iI just want Jackie to be remembered. And if I make anyone uncomfortable when I talk about her. then that\'s too bad. No one can ever understand this type of loss unless they went through it. XXX OOO Gail
Just so very true. I can deal with almost all the crappy things people say to me--but if I sense someone is trying to push Michael\'s memory aside, that is when I really get upset.
Amen!
Oh yes indeed......and \" don\'t tell me it was God\'s will or I\'ll just think you are both assholes \"...I like that one!!!!
A friend of mine asked me what do I say to this Mother who\'s Son just committed suicide? He suffered from PTSD . I told her \"please Just say you are sorry and nothing else\" That\'s all I want to hear.
OMG, it its so frustrating when I hear those words. My daughter was better here with me, and no I will never .get over losing her. I will never understand why she completed suicide. I will grieve for her the rest of my life. No one can ever understand that kind of pain unless they go through it and I would never want that for any parent,
Oh, yes. That just says it all!
Why do they expect you to say \"Thank you\" when they offer their condolences? Why in the world would any one feel thankful during this time? How about \"I can only imagine what you are going thru? No you can\'t because it is so much worse than any imagination! I know they are just trying to help but it does take every ounce of strength not to scream your posting at them. I give you all love and hugs for your strength!
I get at least you have little Mikie, (I rather have them both ) like thats a substitute. it is an extention of my son, not a substiute for him.
People ! you just want to slap some sense into them sometimes.
Just tell me your sorry give me a hug. I think hugs have healing powers it shows you really care.
sending you a big Hug Penny
I still can\'t get over what one of my coworkers said the other day, \"well you we\'re just on vacation\". How can ANYONE say taking time off after my son\'s death was a vacation! How dare her! She wrote on Facebook the other day how she was with her kids at the skating rink and first thought was to write well at least you get to be with your kids! Of course I didnt and want her to be with her kids, but that was the most hurtful comment so far. I dont consider her a friend anymore. I am very picky these days with whom I want to be around. No choice at work though. It hurt bad !:( hugs to you ! I love this quote! It is ever so true!
