I can't read romance anymore....
I love to read. It's always been my escape path - I can get lost in a good story for hours. And I loved romance stories - the ones that end happily ever after. I tried reading a new one today. Couldn't get past the first page. I can't do romance right now. It's seems so phony. No one seems happy together anymore. I notice the negative comments more now. I see the arguments in stores between couples. Romance feels dead. I'll stick to mysteries now. Another thing he took from me - my belief in happy endings.

Hon, it is there somewhere. Happy endings are what you create, not anyone else. Romances are okay. Give me a good history, fiction or murder mystery anytime. But you are still in the early stages. Hugs my friend. One day at a time is all we have.
Please be patient with yourself. You are feeling normal for a person in your situation. Better days are ahead for you. There are happy endings and I do wish that you experience one someday. I'm also searching for the same thing for myself. HUGS.
I felt the same way. Still do... To some extent. But, I can imagine a future when I will believe in happy endings. So, that is a start!
