How to proceed.... A Note from Neale Donald Walsch
I've been reading the first 3 books of the CwG books and just signed up for his Weekly Bulletin -- this is the first one I've received. I found it veryinspiring and wanted to share it with you, my friends. If you don't agree with the premise in the third paragraph, please just skip down to the 'graph that begins "What would it 'look like' if I were 'acting like it'?"
I hope you find it as uplifting as I did. Blessed Be All.
My dear friends, In 1995 the first of the Conversations with God series of books was published. In 2006 the ninth and last book in the series was released. In this final book, a summation of the entire 3,000-page dialogue was interwoven in the dialogue. I did not realize at the time that this was, in fact, the perfect summation statement. I was caught up in the moment, simply having a conversation. Only later, after reviewing this material, was I clear that these few paragraphs truly brought to a close the decade-long conversation, leaving me with simple, plain, clear instructions on how to proceed from here, until the end of my life. Here is that portion of the final dialogue, from Chapter 27 of HOME WITH GOD in a Life That Never Ends... The purpose of this conversation is to make you fully aware of what you are doing. You brought your Self to this conversation so that you could remind your Self of this: You are creating your reality by the vibration, by the energy, that you send out. NOW YOU CAN SAY THAT YOU'VE HEARD ALL OF THIS BEFORE--BUT YOU ARE NOT ACTING LIKE IT. THAT IS WHY YOU KEEP TELLING YOUR SELF THIS OVER AND OVER. What would it "look like" if I were "acting like it"? If I really understood this and didn't need to have this conversation circle back, again and again, over what I "think" I already know, what would that look like? First, you would never entertain negative thoughts in your mind again. Second, if a negative thought did happen to slip in, you would get it out of your mind immediately. You would think of something else, deliberately. You would simply change your mind about that. Third, you would begin to not only understand Who You Really Are, but to honor and demonstrate that. That is, you would move from what you Know to what you Experience as the measure of your own evolution. Fourth, you would love yourself fully, just as you are. Fifth, you would love everyone else fully, just as they are. Sixth, you would love life fully, just as it is. Seventh, you would forgive everyone everything. Eighth, you would never deliberately hurt another human being again--emotionally or physically. Least of all would you ever do this in the name of God. Ninth, you would never mourn the death of another again, not even for a moment. You might mourn your loss, but not their death. Tenth, you would never fear or mourn your own death, not even for a moment. Eleventh, you would be aware that everything is vibration. Everything. And so you would pay much more attention to the vibration of everything that you eat, of everything that you wear, of everything that you watch, read, or listen to, and most important, of everything that you think, say, and do. Twelfth, you would do whatever it takes to adjust the vibration of your own energy and the life energy that you are creating around you if you find that it is not in resonance with the highest knowing you have about Who You Are, and the greatest experience of this that you can possibly imagine.
I know that if we followed these simple rules, our lives would be transformed. It is by no means the only source of this wisdom. Indeed, great insight into the human experience, and into how to make it better, can be found in the writings of many teachers and messengers and, of course, in the great spiritual literature of all religions. Yet Conversations with God is a complete source. It has given us all that we truly need to change the collective experience of all people on this planet. I hope that you will share these messages with everyone whose life you touch. Love and hugs,

I think all of those things would happen if we were whole. Wholeness and Holiness are connected. We will never be fully whole on this side of Eternity, but we need to be on the journey. Life is rather meaningless if we aren\'t on a journey toward wholeness. Thanks for the inspiration. Blessings.
Indeed, thank you dear Heather, I agree; Wholeness and Holiness... are One? These do offer us steps on the journey to wholeness. Some of the teachings of the Conversations are, simply, that by first choosing to BE what we wish to be, we then DO that, exemplify it, then we can then HAVE what we wish to have. If we wish to HAVE love, we choose to BE loving and act so, and we find that brings us what we wanted to have. When we give to others what we wish to have, we tell our brains that we already have it to give... and that draws it to us. Blessed Be.
Jack, thank you for sharing this. I agree whole-heartedly. Unfortunately, it is so much easier said than done. We are not saints, but we can make progress towards these goals. I have practiced getting away from the negative thoughts and it certainly helps my state of mind. Now, I\'d like to work on fully loving myself and others!
Indeed, 100% is difficult, to say the least! I like that he reminds us of the degree of power over our own lives Loving God has given us.
I\'m only a little way into Book 3 (of 9!), but I highly recommend them to anyone & everyone.
Blessed Be. Choose Again!
Thank you for this Jack. Loved it. We must practice, over and over again, to love and care for ourselves. I agree that the moment a negative thought, a harsh, critical thought, about ourselves arises we must banish it and replace it with a kind, corrective one. It is part of the healing process that we all desperately need in order to recover. We must care for ourselves as gently and sweetly as we would a frightened, suffering child. And nope, it is not easy, but we CAN and must do it. The entire piece is about loving and being loved and the longer I am on the planet, the more I know that this is what it is all about. To quite John Lennon \" All you need is love.\" Well, that and good pizza! Thank you again for sending that. Bless you !
Thank you for sharing Featherjack. I have read Book 1 many years ago and remember I couldn\'t put it down at the time. I really don\'t know why I stopped there. Probably was too weary to continue. I appreciate being reminded over and over again about my THINKING and sharing LOVE. Tending to practice self-love is extremely important, because if I can\'t love myself, then I don\'t have it to share with others.
This has been almost a lifelong endeavor, or feels like one since I have been worked mg on it. I learned three steps: Awareness, Acceptance, and Action applies to every situation, and issue in life. Very often I skip acceptance and go into action and then become confused as to why my efforts aren\'t working.
When the become aware of a challenge, accept it fully without question, only then am I able to act in Love upon the seemingly difficult issue at hand.
I really like the twelve guidance comments clearly stated here. This is something I need to read many times over until it really sticks and my mind isn\'t wondering off into the old negative patterns. I will join the Newsletters from CWG ..., as I said I can use all the consistent repetition I can get.
Blessings Dear Friend
I\'m glad this is resonating with people. Blessed Be All.
