Good days, bad days

He was suppose to get the rest of his things out yesterday. He texted and cancelled - said unavoidable. He gets married on Friday and goes on honeymoon. Looks like it could be several weeks now. I wanted to get things set up  so it didn't remind me of him. Started to feel physically sick yesterday. I know it's from the stress of this week - knowing at 10 am Friday ... It's over. For real. I had a pretty good week last week. I was busy. I bought a few things to redecorate. Then Monday rolled around and back to the pain. His brother called me on Saturday to see how I was. We compared the lies we had heard. I know that the family will get over since he is family. I'm sure by Thanksgiving all will be forgiven and the new woman will be welcomed into the fold like I was. That hurts. A lot. His brother said he felt I was like family after 10 years. At least he heard my side. I don't know what my ex is telling everyone. I didn't want to be the bad guy to people I liked and respected when I did nothing wrong. I hope his brother passes along what happened from my side so the family can compare stories. The brother said he and his wife and me will need to have dinner soon - to stay in touch.  Not sure it's a good idea but I feel like I cut off a whole part of my family. Breakups make you lose more than one person.

You have no obligation to keep his stuff for him. You're not a storage unit. Tell him he can send someone else over to get it ... maybe even his brother ... and keep it for him until he gets back. Leave it on the porch. He has no right to treat you like that!

It's more than his stuff that's getting you down.
If you can maintain a friendship with his family then fine, although the common subject is always going to remain.
Be patient, as him, his lies and his baggage will be gone from your space soon.
The invisible ropes change to threads and the threads change to cotton balls...
You can fight yourself now... you will NOT be the victim, you will NOT be under his control... Soon you will be free and that is nice

Hang in there. I know how you feel.

Rent a storage unit under his name and tell them that he will pay for it when he comes back. You do not owe him anything. Talk to your lawyer about that idea.
