I get so confused.....

I love our God!  I know He exists and is here and there and everywhere.  I love Him.  I must confess my faith has declined over the years after the passing of my mom.  I have really put a wedge between myself and God and I wonder if God is trying to break my stubborness of will so I can let him back in my heart.  This may be the reason I have been experiencing anxiety concerns about feeling unsafe, etc.  I don't know.  I get so confused.  Does anyone have any thoughts regarding these thoughts?  Thank you in advance!

Yes. I love God too. He is the perfect Father.

As to your question, when we lose someone we love, it takes a long long time to get over it and see God's perfect hand in it.

I lost my dad, my very best friend 3 years ago, and I haven't been the same since. God understands this grief though and doesn't hold it against us.

I get much comfort reading the Psalms because it shows that we're not the only ones with these feelings. The more you stay in the Word, the closer you'll be to God. Blessings Sweetie. If you need to talk, I'm here.

Mercysrogue - During those times when things (my life circumstances) went wrong and I felt betrayed by God!, I could not rejoice in Him but I began my daily prayers by saying to Him, "Thank you for today. Thank you for ,,,,,,, (whatever I could think of to thank Him for"). I had to accept that God did whatever He pleased. Psalms 115:3 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.

I think you just felt very hurt, and God knows that. He knows everything. It won't be difficult to trust Him again. Ask Him to give you faith and love and desire to get close to Him. I am praying this prayer often myself.

I pray that God will bring you close to Him and cover you with his love and comfort today and everyday.

I lost my mother 40 years ago and my father 8 years later (I am 67). My partner of over 20 years (he died suddenly of a heart attack) passed away 3 months after my almost 17 year old cat. I am very alone. My sister has been dealing with cancer for over 6 years having to go through chemo for the third time now. I am worried sick about her. My faith is being severely tested! In my darkest times I feel God's comfort and presence though I wish I could understand WHY!

I also ,lost my DAD over 10 yrs ago & still miss him deeply but thank you LORD for the cherished memories we shared !

    We finally came to the point where the clearing of the stuffs at the damaged areas will begin. Tomorrow a woman from the content removal company will come to our house to start the plan to move and pack up things that will go to the storage. The contractor told me unless he finds out that it is not safe for us to stay inside the house during the whole repairs, his plan is to do it in such a way...
