I hope you are doing well. One woman and two men came to do the clearing stuffs in the kitchen today. Some of the things went down to the basement and some went to trash. I was with them the whold time to tell them what go where. They worked for four hours, and I was totally pooped out. The lady and the contractor and probably the two guys will come back to continue the clearing tomorrow and next week. The reason for clearing is to make path for the stuffs upstairs to come down and go out through the back door. I hope I don't fill the spaces up again. There are junk in the basement that should go out in the trash but I have to do it myself later.

I have been dealing with depression for almost four months now due to the sad twist and turn of my daughter's relationship with the long-distance boy. They still talk every weekend very briefly but the boy cut communication with me, sadly because he feels my goal was to use him. My daughter has been communicating with another guy online who she met around the same time she met the boy. They have not met in person yet. I encouraged my daughter to shop around a little bit more before getting serious with this second guy. There is a third guy online who shows interest in talking more with her but she has not seen how he looks like and never communicated with him through the voice. She does not want to lead him on right now since she has enough headaches dealing with two guys. I am having anxiety and worry about her future but have been praying that God will protect my daughter from troubles or wasting time. Please pray for my daughter and our home repairs situation when you can remember. I will give updates on the home repairs as they are progressing. So glad to hear your helpers are being helpful and it is all making progress. Glad you were able to throw out some of the overwhelming stuff.

I ams sorry to hear about your depression and if I knew one of my adult children were doing the same dead end online "relationships" I would also feel distressed. I wonder if she just likes the attention since the last "relationship" went nowhere. Some people like having pretend relationships in which they don't have to do the work of creating real connection. It is just enough to say I have a boyfriend or girlfriend but no intention of moving forward.

May I be honest with you? I have adult children with mental health issues and have learned we can not take their problems as our responsibility. They have to solve their own problems. At first I did all the worrying and helping and yes, I still get some anxiety when they are having a mental health slump I will call it. But we have to detach with love and not focus on their lives or we will stay depressed and unhappy.

Don't take responsibility for your daughter's life or lack of real love life.

I am so relieved the home repairs are moving forward. Yes, the noise and dust of living in the house while they are doing repairs will be a trial. But you are getting such good help right now with the workers clearing things out. And having 7 cats is another concern. I will continue to pray for you guys. Hasty, Thanks for your reply and support and advice. I hope you are doing well this weekend. I am having hernia pain from lifting heavy stuffs two days ago and am trying to rest this weekend.

The second day of upstairs clearing went very well. They packed up big piles of my husband's books and took with them to clean and will bring them back after the repairs are over. One of the guys told me it will take 3-4 more days to empty the stuffs out from the two rooms. After that the structural engineer will return to inspect the damages again and the contractor will give the estimate of repairs of the rooms and roof. I have dolls in the other room that have the ceiling fell over them. They are going to pull the dolls out and clean them in their shop and bring them back later. I told them I want to throw out as many junk in the two rooms as possible so we can use the rooms for guests to sleep at.

About my daughter's situation with the first boy, they both were serious at first but due to the long-distance setting didn't have the chance to build a good connection. The boy, who is 28 going into 29 this year is not good with communication and made my daughter feel worthless. Then he made me feel worthless by cutting communication with me and still holds on to the last straw with what he has left with my daughter which is almost nothing. At the meantime, the second guy who is about 43 years old (my daughter is 40) as my daughter puts it is very interested in pursuing a closer friendship with her. His problem, one of the problems, is he has not been able to come to meet my daughter in person due to his health issues and finances. My daughter is very comfortable with this guy but I told her she should shop around a little more before going deeper with him. That third mysterious guy who has not shown his photos yet and has not communicated with my daughter through the voice is in his 40's. He seems very interested in getting to know my daughter more but probably feels she could be involved with someone. My daughter is ready for a serious dating and has difficulty finding local people to date with. As to the mental issue, I have the same problem she has. She actually inherited it from me and I inherited it from my mother. The ideal for my daughter's future is to have a lifelong companion. The first boy understands her life circumstances very well since despite the not so good communication they have been talking to each other over two years. He is a difficult character himself, a very close-in person and an anti-social. How my daughter met these three guys was she did what is called video game demos online and these are guys who like playing video games and they like her voice. I think the two guys who are in their 40's are the kind of guys who are ready for serious relationships. We don't know much about the third mysterious guy. He could already have a reltionship but still wants to shop around. There are all kinds of strange men out there in this vedeo game site.

By the way, about the home repairs, another reason for my worry and anxiety right now is my worry that our cats will run outside and get lost. While the woman and the two guys were going in and out the back door, I stood and sat near the door almost every second to make sure the cats didn't get out. I think I should make something to block one of the paths to prevent the cats from going out the door.

I am trying to hold on to my faith in God. I am looking forward to the new looks of the two rooms upstairs (more space) after they are repairs. The rooms have been used for storage, and our first floor and the porch are filled with stuffs. We are practically living in storage. I want to see whether I can have some of the junk in our basement thrown out. These repair people are supposed to get a dumpster to throw things in. I think I should be able to grab the things in the basement myself to throw in the dumpster if we can stay in the house during the repairs but I have to avoid lifting too heavy stuffs.
