Wow! I just responded to an old post. Lol! It was suggested that we read through old posts so I did and saved them on my phone. I just read this and forgot it was an old post. So, how is everyone doing with online dating these days?

I have had some trouble with POF. I had guys meet me and then straight out tell me they are not interested. I mean how rude is that!? Not even friends. I mean just rude. The last guy I talked to was only interested in me because of my religion being Jewish so I changed my religion to other because it was such a bad experience. Really he met me, called me once afterwards and then NOTHING! I am not really Jewish...believe in other things like nature and Buddhism. Not just Jewish! Good luck though.

I am like, why am I reading this from 2012?? I can see how that would happen though!.. I am not online dating. Too busy, right now I feel if I meet someone organically, ok, but it's just not a priority for me. Men are too much trouble. When I find one that is helpful instead of "work", I will reconsider...LOL

ha ha, I've done this a few times myself, it's all good and nice reminders, I think those who started the original post may find it interesting that they have resurfaced again to help us newbies.

I am not currently dating, nor plan to any time soon. I dated a couple of really nice men after my unwanted divorce but I wasn't ready. I'm starting to like my alone time for a change. I will get out there eventually because I do want to be in a relationship, but I'm still working on myself and I find am actually an ok person with a lot to offer someone....down the road.

This is a fucking fantastic post! I was scrolling through posts and just saw this. I'm marveling at the wisdom I'm seeing on here. I especially liked the one of the lady who cancelled a date because she had to get stuff done. Bravo lol

Sigh....I remember those days of Plenty of Fish and OK Cupid and J-Date and the list goes on....I am baffled at the amount of narcissistic men out there. I am astounded at the amount of crap I used to put up with. The guy I'm currently with I have trained pretty good. I know this sounds like I have tried to change him, but basically I just put forth some well-delineated boundaries and he's been respecting them. His default is narcissism, but when I jump up and down and call him on his shit he's oddly enough had the grace to submit. If there's anything I've learned about narcissism in these past 5 years, you can't be subtle--you have to knock these bastards between the eyes with the truth and if it's too tough for them then too bad for them--they can hit the road. The ones who are capable of change will actually change but the ones who can't won't. And what I can say for my guy--is that he's honest with me, so I'm learning to be honest with him. Just this week I told him he was a big prick, lol.
