Hi, sweetie. I think what most of the people here were saying is that you take a huge risk when you go to a medium. There might be some people with genuine psychic powers who can really make contact on your behalf, but I suspect that most of them are frauds who are just after your money now that you're so vulnerable and hurting. We're trying to protect you so nobody takes advantage of you.

Do you ever feel that you can communicate directly with him? Does he come to you in dreams? If he hasn't really yet, why don't you try asking him to come to you tonight and see if he does? Putting your faith in God is definitely your safest bet, but if you want to be in contact with him, you might be able to do that part yourself.

First I want to say that just because you go to a medium does not mean you are not a person of God. I am both; I belive in God and attend church regularly, but I also went to a medium for both a group session and an individual one, and like Jerseydebbie, I received closure after my mother's death. I agree that some psychics are fakes, but some are people who are born with a real gift. I have no desire at this time to go to a medium to contact my husband, even though I also do not know exactly what took him. I think this is because I felt him say goodbye to me just as he passed.

In deciding whether to go to a medium, there are some things you might want to think about. First, know that you won't necessarily get the person you want; in the group session, (no expectations for a certain person,) a former brother-in-law and my grandfather came through. My mother was there for the individual session, though, but also my (pesky) former brother-in-law again!

A tough question to ask yourself is: how would you feel if your husband didn't come through? Would this make you question if he still cares about you? Would it make your grief even worse?

So do think through this carefully first, and be sure you can be comfortable with whatever happens. Then if you still want to find a medium, be sure that person is reputable. (I also can give you a name.) The other suggestions on this site are excellent too, so do try those that will seem to work for you. Sometimes this grieving stuff needs a multi-faceted approach! Good advice from Julie - I think she gave all sides to think about.

The Bible is all about spiritual accounts of Jesus witnessed by his followers. He came to his people as an apparition. Remeber when he walked on water? Lots of people have seen their loved ones as spirits. It is a gift of healing to have a visitation.

God, nor a book, does not judge the living. When we pass, we face ourselves in spirit and witness how we affected others, bad or good. Just like on earth, we go to our spiritual level after we pass.

As for mediums, yes, there are fakers out there and it's hard to tell the genuine ones. However, your best bet is to search for the National Spiritual Association Of Churches at info@nsac.org. This organization is organized by honest mediums and healers that serve the public for spirit, not to scam people.
