It seems as if every week now somebody gets angry and leaves this group. I have been a member for over a year now, and personally find this a very helpful, supportive, understanding group of people, for the most part. Most of us try hard to be respectful in expressing our many and varied opinions, and to be non-judgmental. We are all handling our grief just a little bit differently, have different circumstances in our lives, etc. so it is inevitable that we are not all going to agree on everything. We also have a bunch of things in common, and just when one of us thinks we are all alone, we find someone else is having the same problem. Please, people, don't leave just because you don't always hear what you want to hear. Accept the comments for what they are, take what works for you, learn from the ones that are different. But please don't just leave! laurabp

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

What really bothers me is that they have to post to God and everyone that they're leaving.
There are days and posts which I am better off staying out of here. It's nobody's fault. It's just that I'm not in a good place at the time.
I sure don't blame everybody else.
My advice to them? If you don't want to read it, go somewhere else. We've got enough grief without yours.
peace :)

This site has taught me a lot of things about the grief process. I read postings from people who after years are grieveing like yesterday and then posts from those who after a few months are moving on...and then from most of us in between. It all gives me food for thought and inspiration.
To any that leave I always offer my best wishes for peace and happiness.
Linnisocial is right, we are all on our last nerves sometimes and we tend to say things that we don't mean. I guess we need to take it for what it is. Grief. I hope it passes, I am saying things and doing things even off of here that are not in my nature at all, it kinda scares me a little bit.

I came into this site late (meaning I was past a year). However, I was completely caught off guard at how pertinent the posts still were to me. Like I said before I finally felt plugged in to where I needed to be. Trust me, my family is grateful I found this site also.
So, what is that ignore button for? Please dont use it on me, it would really hurt my feelings.
I've decided not to let spiteful cowardly disrespectful hypocrites push me off the board and I've been touched by all the messages I got a few weeks back.
I think it is so important that even though we are in terrible pain, that we still remember to be kind to others. I know how hard it can be to do that when you are feeling so low, but I think it is important to give what you would want to receive.
Sometimes (not all) I have found that people think that they can do or say anything they want because they are in grief, and that all others should just "deal with it", forgetting that we all have pain. Even those who are not in this group. Life is a challenge, everyone has pain & suffering, just in different ways.
I believe we should be kind to others, as well as to ourselves.
even the views they espouse don't stack up with their actual behaviour so they are either massively hypocritical or just out to cause as much upset as they can for their own reasons.
From their current behaviour you do wonder how they behaved when they were still with their partners. Maybe some of their inexplicable outbursts are a product of massive guilt about what they have done in the past?
I'm admittedly new to the group, however (and there's always a however in life) I've encountered nothing but care and compassion from this group. I doubt it's due to my magnetic personality, but rather to those who are here to give each other an ear and a shoulder.
If, and when, I do encounter someone with an attitude or an agenda, I will choose to ignore them and move on.
I just don't see the need to quit the group altogether, and when I do, I won't post a scathing retort on my way out.
I will admit that some of the discussions were interesting to follow because there was so much conflict in them. But when the comments got personal - it went way past acceptable. No one here should be attacked because of their own personal view and it made me furious.
Some of those that left were wanting something here that we can not give them. We all are hurting and we could not make their hurt go away. Some are moving on and that's good. Others left because of what I have learned is a temper tantrum, it didn't go their way, so they are pouting. But the ones that left because of being attacked are the ones I would love to see come back. I don't think some people pay attention to the little line under this box, "In adding this comment, I ----, do promise to be nice". Their promise is worthless.
