Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
And part of the grief process is just as you describe: the euphoria of the remembering of the good times; then the crash back into the abyss, remembering that they are gone. Slowly, the tears come less often and with less intensity.
We understand.
Hugs,
Terry

I have become accustomed to all this "stuff" and for the most part it doesn't bother me.
Except the pencil stub that I found in a drawer last week. For some reason that 2" piece of wood breaks my heart . I haven't been able to put it away, it sits on the end table by the sofa . I hold it sometimes while I'm watching TV in the evenings. I don't understand it...I don't try...I just hold his pencil and wish he were home.
