I am so tired of receiving cards everyday in the mail. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but after 4 weeks I thought they'd be done coming. I cringe and cry every time a new one comes in. This card today was from the fostercare agency where Rob and I adopted our two fostersons. Of course the caseworker had to write her own sentiments about how wonderful Rob was (is) .. and again, not meaning to sound ungrateful, just very hard to read over and over and over.
Okay, done whining

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

I couldn't read them at the year mark. But today as I mark the 2nd anniversary they are priceless. when I first read them all I saw was blah, blah, blah. Today, I read the sentiments and I heard and felt what they were saying. Even found a card from his ex that had pictures of my guy with her kids. I say loud and clear that it was a freakin pleasure to consciously tear them up.
I wish I had thought about opening them up one a week or preplanned day. Such an awsome idea. Maybe by doing that you will have more of sense of control during this uncontrolable time. Pam, (big grin) I won't send you a card but I do send a prayer for much peace.
Hugs,
Susan
