I was beginning to question my sanity because I'm all alone in my grief as everyone else has moved on. They don't understand when I can't listen to certain songs or watch certain tv shows. They don't want me to talk about my husband. They're amazed that I still sometimes cry over beautiful memories instead of smiling. But they're not here in the middle of the night when I'm alone with those memories and long to be back in that time and place just one more time.
So... that one movie phrase made me realize that I don't have to feel as though I'm insane because I haven't reached the place where others think I should be in the allotted grief timeframe. I will keep on getting through the days, some better and some not. I may get used to being a widow, and I may not. I know I'll find the sunshine again and the new me, but it will be when the time is right for me. As it has to be for all of us. So now I've got that out. Thanks for listening.
Peace to all,
Linda
It's been 4 years for me, some days are better than others.
I try to just keep pushing forward as each day dawns, some days don't hurt, some days do.
Only those in our situation can truly understand
Let others think what they may, we can't control them
We need to do what's best for us.
Our life has changed, our journey is now intertwined with grief.
Blessings
