When I'm down I like to close the blinds to the world and sleep it away.
I must say and sometimes I'm feeling guilty I'm enjoying life like I did before Kenny passed. I don't miss him any less it just my new normal life
I made some for my neighbor and her family because she's having some health issues Had my sister and her son over for some too. Also, I can't forget, my little dog Lucy gives me mega comfort everyday. Patty
I also have a park behind my house and I go walking a few times a week and talk to my neighbors and some people I don't know.
Sit on my deck and look at the beautiful mountains.
I wasn't going to plant a garden this year but decided to plant a couple
of tomato plants, (for him) that was his favorite. I seem to do my best healing in nature. This is what give me comfort.

He gets lulled to sleep and I get big, watery, tear-filled eyes. He loved when Morey would rub his belly, as he laid by his recliner. When Morey got too sick to move his arms Horton slowly but surely became more and more depressed. I saw it happening and took over the massaging. He gradually learned to come to me and to leave Morey alone!
This big lug of a dog has become my comfort and my joy!!!!

I do a lot of volunteer stuff, am very active in my church, and I get out and hike at every opportunity.
I am also an avid reader, usually with more than one book going at a time, and I feed my brain with magazines in-between.
I have to be careful sometimes as it would be easy for me to fall back on "comfort food" - which is not really a good idea!
Love and Hugs,
