Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
My hospice counselor told me once, you are where you need to be. I didn't like or understand her words. But she was and is right.
Another thing I struggled with was disappointment. I believed through Christ I could bear anything. I wasn't bearing very well. I wasn't failing Him. He was holding me through what I needed to feel. Sharon

it is hard. I saw us growing very old together, helping each other .
it has all changed. But my medicine /doctor has helped me tremendously.
I wish you a better day as each one goes by.
That makes me think that at some point, it did help, but now it doesn't. I agree that a consultation with the prescribing physician is in order. He may choose to increase, decrease, replace, or completely discontinue the Zoloft.
Maggie's comments are sound; some people do not do well with medication long term. I think her comment was meant to be helpful; nowhere in her response did she "apply personal views on medication to everyone."
One thing I've learned here on DS is that although we all share some aspects & experiences in the grief process, each person's grief is unique. Please let's all respect that.
