We placed my Mom in an assisted living facility in April and Saturday we had to step that up to include hospice. I am from a family of 11 children. I have had much loss in my life, I lost my husband two months ago and yesterday 12.31.13. My brother had a massive heart attack at home and died instantly. Now I am having to assist my sister-in-law with planning my 58 year old brothers funeral. I am so not coping so well, I keep focusing on the fact that this is not about me, it is about getting my Mom, my sister-in-law, and nieces through this tragic ordeal. God bless you and yours, Please remember that life changes in the blink of an eye.

Mary, I am truly sorry for all your losses. It is so hard on you. I do understand because I lost my husband in February and my step brother two days after and finally my father in October. I felt like if I was going from one funeral to another. The grieving is compounded and you feel overwhelmed by all these losses.

My thoughts are with you. A big hug to you.

Mary, please add my condolences for all these losses. I hope that, for all of us, the strength to endure these challenges grows so that we can handle them all in time, just like a parent's love grows for each new child, and does not have to get split into smaller pieces.

Mary, I am so sorry - it is way too much too soon. Please know we are praying for you and your family. I know you will be feeling like you are running on empty already, but I hope knowing that we are here for you - and your SIL if that is appropriate - will help a little. How terrible for all of you.
