Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Like you, I was working out and was doing good that day. And it really hit out of the blue and did not make sense . The thing to remember is that it was probably needed. The tears help rid of toxins that build up in our system and the body and mind knows .

Take care.

I have talked with a number of widows/widowers over the years who have had similar experiences, and also many of us had that response when we were getting a massage or receiving chiropractic adjustments. I had one chiro adjustment to my mid-back and it caused me to burst into tears. I was not in any physical pain - it was like a release of something I didn't even realize was being stored up.
Exercise of any kind is a good way to relieve stress. It's a good idea to do some exercise on a daily basis. I used to walk on my coffee breaks -- 10-15 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon, just around the block - and it helped a lot. I slept better, handled my daily work stress better, etc.
Hang in there......
Love and Hugs,
Martha
