Think of Heaven

One of the things I do on a day like this is to think of Heaven. I picture my husband there enjoying a sunny day, having a large feast with all the relatives he lost in this life. I see God at the head of the table and everyone is smiling. I'm thankful for the gift Jesus has provided.

I believe and have faith that Bill is in heaven pain free, happy and with other loved ones I have lost. Unfortunately, I am here heartbroken and sad.

I picture Mike hunting with his dad and his brother, and I wonder if there are guns in heaven.

We have a Maple Syrup Camp (Sugar Bush) on our farm. 'Sugar Season' was hubby's favorite time of the yeargathering the sap, boiling it down into syrup, and enjoying the taste of syrup from the very first batch collected. He wore a continual smile on his face while laboring in the woods to collect that 'golden nectar,' as he liked to call it. Sooooo, maybe pancakes or waffles are served at that huge table up there. If so, hopefully the Lord gave hubby the joy of making and serving the syrup.

Who really can know what joys they experience minute after minute, day after day until we are part of that glorious community. What a Gathering that will be! Blessings to you. TJ

Truhal, I try to do this every day, to think of heaven- to imagine my husband there. Yes, with his relatives that have passed too & with my dad. It comforts me thinking of him there. It's what saves me some days when I cannot make sense of why he is gone. Thank you for this post - my second year is starting out really rough. Deni
