Claire - "Hi Wayne, I miss you so much"
Wayne - "I miss you, too, and you know I did not want to leave you"
Claire - "Can you help me with the following problem -............"
Wayne "Sure, here goes.........."
This is just an example but it has helped me work through some of my fears because Wayne and I talked all the time. Most of the time, he just gave me reassurance that my decision was a sound one and I think that is what this written converstation does.
Try it. And No, you are not insane.
Most of the time I am only telling him about my day, how much I miss him and that I love him very much.....
I was having a backslide kind of day yesterday, and seem to be teeter tottering alot lately, which I know from this group is pretty normal. I talked to him about again, if I did all that I could, and was it a dream or were we really happy? It's only been 10 and a half months, but sometimes, like now seems forever. I talked about alot ot him last night as a matter of fact.
I received a card today in the mail. It was from a co owrker friend of Greg's from many many years ago. she came to his memorial service. I met her only once. the card she wrote meant the world to me. I never did get to know her. We just never got the chance to know al of Greg's friends. there were so many i met after he passed.
anyway, the card said 'I can't begin to tell you how happy you made Greg, and how thankful I am that he had you in his life. I only wish it could have been longer, as you both were so perfect together. Greg told me so many stories about the two of you, when helping me find a job, and I'm so happy that he finally got it right." I broke down, cried like a newborn, and have been peaceful the rest of the day. He answered my question in the most beautiful way.
they may not always answer in words we can hear like a person speaking, but yes, they talk to us just the same.
Talk to him. He hears you. I believe they all hear us.
Love, and hugs diane
In my heart and soul, I feel certain that he hears me. He does reply, not in words, but,I understand what he is saying to me.

He doesn't really answer me but I remember his very distinguished voice so clearly still. He's always with me. Always.
Over time, I feel pretty much that he is still inside my head and my heart, so I don't need to talk out loud as much to him. But yes, sometimes I still do, even after all this time, especially when I'm worried about our sons.
Love and Hugs, Martha
