I lost my husband unexpectedly five weeks ago, and the word shattered is the only word that I think applies to my life right now. I have always been strong and independent, but anymore it seems that I have simply lost my way. I know that part of the recovery process is to share and to listen to others who have gone down this path. That is why I signed up to this site today. Yesterday, I had my first panic/anxiety attack ever in my life....I knew then that I was simply not dealing with the grief. I know that purportedly "time heals all", but like many of you it seems to me that the pain is so great that there simply can't be enough time in the world left to heal it.
There are no words that I can type that don't bring back the anguish I too felt at the same time you are at now.
My story is similar and I am so sorry for your loss.
The best advice I can offer is to come to this sight day or night. Seek comfort in the words others offer knowing we are all on the same grief journey and knowing a special connection is here.. Take much care today. Carol
The comfort of having Morey to rescue me and my senses whenever I needed him to, far outweighs any independence that the loss of him gives me!
