This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
So just this past weekend I was walking in the back yard and out of the corner of my eye I swear I saw blue and connected it to my husband. The feeling was so strange. It startled me first then I thought it was him for a second. Of course when I looked in that direction nothing was there. It will be 7 months this weekend and I'm still feeling lost most of the time. Which I'm thinking is better than all of the time.

I have experienced strange things too. My daughter and I were in my walk=in closet to find something. Both of us smelled the scent of my husband that was not there before. We looked at each other and knew it was him. I found comfort when I have these experiences, knowing that he loved us and would visit us. Keep an open mind.

I feel the ones we love never die they are a part of us always. I feel him all the time..and my loved ones before him..maybe just maybe we are an extension of the ones we love..and of each other and do not realize it. I feel a connection with most people and have grown to love some.

I feel and hear my mother in me at times. She died in 2002. It's no surprise as I am my mother's daughter! My deceased father and sister are a part of me as well. We are a product of their influence...

You are not crazy, and I believe it was your husband coming to visit you, to reassure you, he is always there, just not physically, but always remembering you. Lots of us, have experienced wonderous things, and because it's beyond our understanding, we try to explain it as coincidence... but the common denominator, is "spirit" because we are not passed away, we do not know what lies beyond. What if all you had to do is believe, and someday, would know for sure, there is another place... Just a thought, and sorry if I offended anyone. Much love and gentle hugs carla
