Please forgive me if you have already posted information about your dog ....and it has been an ongoing thing ....but if not have you taken her to a vet. A year ago I thought my cats days were numbered as she slowed right down, stopped eating, was behaving so differently and so lack lustre - but appeared to have no other visible symptoms, . The vet did a thorough exam and initially found nothing but when he lifted her tail to take her temperature he found she had a ginormous abscess under her tail that was not easily visible ....he drained it ....put her on antibiotics etc and after a few days she was back on track. She is now fifteen and a half and doing well. As I said ....if there is a history to this that I am unaware of ....please just ignore my response. Hugs

So Sorry!! I often wonder what I will do when my little Pug gets to that point. But, she is only 2 1/2 yrs old now. She was the last Christmas gift I will ever get from my DH. Hugs, Joely

The vet said it could be cancer. No way to tell without surgery, and at her age... He did give me medication to stop the nausea, but she still won't eat. I'm afraid she'll starve to death. I didn't know dogs would do that. I thought instinct would kick in and they'll eat. I'm so shocked.

Really feeling for you right now.......and it is too much..........is it possible you would be able to go to the pound and rescue a dog? I did that not long after my cat died and it did help............doesn't replace but I felt good about giving another animal a chance who might not have had one........sorry.........

I am so sorry you are having to go through another loss so soon. I know how it is to get attached to our pets. I have 3 cats and they are like family to me. They are up in age and I hope they will go on for a while yet.

Read a poem caled the Rainbow Bridge, in this case things are reversed, but still comforting. Can you try a scrambed egg with your dog, I imagine you have had her to the vet. I would try canned dog food, yuck, or anything to tempt you. My heart bleeds for you, being a dog owner I know how special they are. Big Hugs, Wendy

Just read your post and I am sorry and hoping that your dog made it. I lost my cat , Gizmo, just 2 weeks ago. She was with Rob and I for 18 years and to lose her 5 months after him is so difficult. My thoughts are with you. It is salt in the wound. Hug, Donna
