I just wanted to say "HALE TO THE ""V"" !!!!! (Sorry fellows, but I'm feeling the accomplishment...) Nancee
I feel so much better knowing I'll never have to ask anyone for help lighting the pilot ever again. And the new one is more energy efficient. It'll last at least 20 years. By then I'll be in Florida or someplace else that is warm.
If you need someone to light it, call the gas company. I know mine had a gas smell that scared me. Also, I don't know how old you are, but if you're a senior, check into the services of your town. I have a friend who is 66 and has twenty-dollar handyman services, courtesy of her town.
I've been worried about my utility bills and so I've been heating the house in the evening with the fireplace. Thank goodness Roby taught me how to build the fire and take care of that. And I've got a great friend that keeps my wood pile going.
But yesterday I had a mouse issue and got mad that Roby wasn't there to take care of it. There's been several times I've gotten mad because he's not there to take care of me. I miss him so bad for so many reasons. The new year has been rough so far.
