What a great way to start off the weekend. I got call from my son saying that our basement bathroom sewage pump was running non-stop. I guess that is better than not running at all. He got the power to the bathroom shut off at the breaker, so we won't burn up the motor.

Now I get to go home and evaluate the situation. (I was going to say "ascertain the situation" but thought better of it! Wait a minute, I just did).

Step 1 will be to what we technically call "whack it with a mallet." I'm hoping the float valve just got stuck open, and the whack will jar it free. If step 1 does not work, I'll have to get into some serious cost/benefit analysis. I can try to get some of my family to help me, or get a plumber. One way or the other, I have a feeling it is going to cost me big time!

Anyway, I hope your weekend does not start off as "crappy" as mine. Sorry, I had to throw in one more bad pun. Hey, you have to have a sense of humor about these things. If not, life is gonna kill you!
