Sorry for your loss. As for the anger, it will dissipate ~ eventually. It is part of grieving, just as several other stages. The stages do not follow any specific pattern, even though the "professionals" sometimes say they do. Also, you will jump from one stage to another and back again.

When I first joined, my first friend was a widower. I, as you say, lurked, to read and see just what this site was really like. I had been on a site that was only for widows and some things had happened there and many changes took place, so I ventured out looking for another good site. When I found DS, I found a great site!

We understand the ups and downs, ins and outs, the pain and agony, the disorientation, the forgetfulness, the tears, the sadness, and the anger of this new journey that you are on. So, welcome to a great site....even though we all wish we didn't have to be join for the reason that we are here.

Welcome to the DS W/W site, glad you joined. We all travel the grief road at different speeds here, some of us slower than others. It's all about what works for you. You will find many wonderful people here that offer good advice if needed.

Sorry for the reason you joined this site, but welcome. I am at 7 1/2 months since my beloved Pat passed away. There were many times I didn't think I would get here, but day by day here I am. You mentioned breakfast for 2, so easy to do, I still say our home, our dog, our everything. I'm glad you are here. There is nothing you can say here that is silly, we are all here for the same reason, support. Hugs, Wendy

DS will be here for you day and night. I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't reach out on this site especially early on. Glad you came and I know you'll find comfort and support. hi! i recently lossed my husband (AUG 13), and i know what you mean about others who still have their spouses and say to you that they know what you're going through -- NO, they do not know!!! it's a unique experience losing your love, the love of your life. i try to be patient with them because i know they're trying to comfort me, but i know they don't realize how intense the pain really is.
one time i had something i wanted to tell my husband, and i reached for my cell phone to call him, realizing at that moment he was no longer here. it felt like cold water hit my face. it was such a rude awakening. i'm still trying to adjust to my new reality.
