Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
The people here are amazing and I know personally they have helped me so much.

Peace to your heart. Terry
I still after almost three years talk to my husband. Not as much as I did the first year though. My talking to him now is more in the form of "you know you could help me out here".

I have a question, I'll admit that I never could "suffer fools gladly" but could usually manage a modicum of civility. Now, however, when some alledgedly well meaning "fool" starts with "I know how you feel, it's just like when my great aunt Tillie's neighbor died" I interrupt and say "no, it's not!". So rude! It kind of makes me angry though, that they think that they know what I'm feeling when they haven't a clue. I'm sure folks here understand, my question, does this anger subside or is it here to stay?
New question, it seems to be traditional here to use a picture of your dearest for your profile, is that correct?
I am sorry for your loss. I am rather new here as well. Mike died four months ago and I gave birth to our 5th child on Nov. 4. I have set Mike's place at the table since his death out of sheer habit. The kids think it is cool.
