Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.

I lost my spouse of 41 years last May and I struggle every day....but the grief IS softening and so will yours. Seeing the blessings he left behind , rather than the darkness. Death does not end a relationship and the love you shared is deathless and eternal. there is no timetable for grief; whatever arises, just embrace it. Be gentle with yourself. Daily journaling is very healing. It does get better.
Blessings.

The new year begins, I just bought a toilet seat that is needed in the main bath...so it goes!!!
It has become easier because it's been 3 years learning, adjusting to the responsibilities that are mine now.
In reading, would like to pass this on to you:
"Grief never ends, but it changes
It's a passage, not a place to stay
Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith
It's the price of love"

Offered. I try often to slow down and to remember one day at a time. One moment at a time. I often pause out of sight from the kids and cry. Your amazing and your doing the best you can. Hugs
Welcome to the group, hope to hear from you again. Sharon
