Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
This group is wonderful. You can say anything and no one will judge, as we all have been there. Everyone has kind words to say and a lot of helpful information.
I'm sorry that you had to become a part of this group, but I'm glad that you found it.
Prayers and blessings on this grief journey you are beginning.
Hugs,

I lost my Morey almost 21 months ago and sometimes it feels like this morning and other times it feels like 21 years ago. I knew him since I was 18 years old. He was my "everything!"
I miss him so much that it hurts. I don't know if we will ever stop longing for their touch, smell, embrace......I just don't know how we're supposed to get past it all. Maybe we're not.......maybe we put them inside ourselves and bring them out when we need them and then put them away when we're done! Maybe for a moment, maybe for an hour or a day!
They're NEVER really gone from us......just put away!
We're "HERE" for you.
With Love,
Roz

There are days when I don't think I can take another step and feel I have no purpose without him. I come here nearly everyday. You will find words of encouragement and find the feelings you may be having are all normal in this grief journey.
Take care of yourself. Get rest and don't forget to eat.
Terri
Cancer took my August 21 2013.
32 years for us.
You will find much needed support on this site. Support that if hard to find anyplace else. This is truely a safe place.

of comfort to me still and I am almost at 5 years. I got through the first many months by playing computer solitaire every night until I got out. It may have taken a few minutes or a number of hours, but for that period of time, it gave me something else to dwell on.
One day at a time my friend.
Hugs,
Wendy
