This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Hello everyone:
With all of the hullaballo and snarkiness surrounding the issue of faith as it relates to grieving, and many members of this group expressing the opinion that they believe DS to be a non-religious place, I have initiated a sub group.
The purpose of the group is to support one another from a faith based perspective without offending those grieving people who find the notion of a supreme being objectionable or embarrassing.
I welcome anyone to join the new group so that we may continue to walk the path of grief secure in the knowledge that there is someone greater than ourselves accompanying us on that journey.

So it's not a divide and conquer thing, we're just birds of a feather, flocking together....
Please chill out, my friend. No one has folded like a "cheap swiss army knife".......I began a sub group for one reason, sir, and that was so that people of faith can express freely the thoughts that are very relevant to them in their grief from a faith based perspective.
Clearly, there are MANY good people posting here that do not wish to include a supreme being in the discourse. No one has been asked to leave this group, nor will I leave this group until such time as I am requested to leave it. But, since DS is not faith based per se, my thought was that creating a sub group to remove all doubt would be appropriate. I am sorry you disagree.
My hope is that the new group will not be as confrontational with regards to the issue of faith.
