Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Keeping you in thoughts and prayers. I am so very sorry.
Hugs,

oh dear, more added on the sorrow...that IS hard to bear.
Just a couple of thoughts," take what you can use and leave the rest":
>>>in Hawaii where we lived for 3 years you could have SOME facilities but not necessarily all...why can there not be an extra bathroom in the house?
>>>Sleep is pretty much non-negotiable after a little...will your doc prescribe meds for a while?
>>>I have found a few things to be helpful: deep breathing, yoga and water aerobics......also I am much better when I am around friends who I am comfortable with and who I know care about and like me......
I am just so sorry you have all this more to deal with on top of the terrible grief....
hugs....
My heart goes out to you. So much to deal with. No wonder you are feeling so overwhelmed. A dear friend gave me good advice that I think will help you. Remember to breathe. Just breathe slow long deep breaths and take tiny steps moving forward. Some days all you'll be able to do is breathe. Others you will be able to move forward ever so slightly. We are all here with you to listen and to understand. I'm saying a prayer that you have peace and comfort.
Hugs,
Vicki
There are those who will disagree about what I'm about to say, but I'll say it anyway: We're in a battle against the devil. It's spiritual warfare. And the only way to survive is to put on the full armor of God. That's what we must do to survive. Our enemy--the devil--is here to kill and steal. He's already killed, so the rest is to destroy us. He'll do it by constantly attacking us. He'll do it until we have nervous breakdowns and scream for mercy, then he'll keep going.
That's why we've got to depend on God. In church I was told to bind the sprits in the name of Jesus. When I'm under attack, I say, "Satan, you're bound in the name of Jesus. You can't touch my life, my health, my house,, my car. You have no power over me, in the Name of Jesus."
I know there are those who will say I'm crazy. I don't care. Everyone is entitled to think what they like. This is what I do and it works. Does it mean that I have a perfect life? Far from it. I'm under constant attack. But I'm winning because I'm a team player and the team that I'm on is headed by the Almighty.

I know the pain you are experiencing right now. I have had to deal with many issues with my wife who passed away 2 years ago and now my daughter who is disabled. I get anxiety attacks and have had many of them and take xanax which helps me very much. If you believe you have had a breakdown and that's what your doctor says, you should be in a hospital where they can help you. I wish you better happiness in the future. Sometimes you have to hit bottom before you can start to rise. When I lost my wife I felt like someone had taken half of me also. I am still having a lot of problems in dealing with her loss. Hope your other legal problems can be dealt with in a timely manner. Good luck.
Rick
I hope you work through this with a good outcome...
Hugs Linda
You have a lot more to contend with than most. When I am finding it really really hard to continue and the house is an absolute mess and I just lie on the lounge or in bed just praying my loved one will return I try and encourage myself by saying that I am going to do something for him. Like if I look at the dirty dishes stacking up and I have no emotional energy to even get off the couch, let alone do something constructive, I say to myself I am doing it for my partner as he would hate the mess. It is the only way I can do anything. I am doing it for him. I cannot let go of him. I hope this helps.
I think the hardest thing is we have lost our support base, our rock, our love, our half. I feel I would give a body part to have my darling back. We were a same sex couple and my partners family rejected him because of it. I too have a similar situation. We only had each other. He was the first person that showed confidence in me and gave me the strength to live. Now I have lost him, I have no one to fall back on or give me support. I was never good enough in my family's eyes but to my partner he thought I was wonderful. I had one person who thought this of me and he is now gone.
Bless you and I hope you can keep going. Send me a message if you ever need a cyber shoulder to cry on.
