Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my wife in June. The pain of the loss is so overwhelming. When she passed, I felt the need to connect with others as I didn't know anyone in my shoes. I came here, began journaling and talking to people. It's helped as the people here are very supportive. My advice right now? Do what you need to do to get through a day. Cry when it comes. Sleep if you can. Remember to eat something every once in a while. Sending a hug and some love your way. Justin
I'm almost 11 months out. I sort of remember the days and weeks following his death. What a fog. I sometimes think it still clouds up around me from time to time. I'm so sorry you're here, too. That we all are. But finding a community is so important in showing you're not alone, you can share your grief and support others in theirs. That's called healing. If you aren't already, use the "Journal" feature on this site. I've been journaling every day since 11 days out. I recently changed my journal into a gratitude journal and it really helps my mindset for the day. Wishing you peace. And hoping you are caring for yourself.
