I just got done watching the Reality Show Survivor. Larry & I had watched from day one, which was 15yrs ago. We never missed a show & I know at times I would drive him crazy because I would scream & yell at the TV.
We even rented a hotel room during the finale of one the seasons because our TV satellite went out. I know some people would think we are crazy, but we loved the show. And now at this moment the tears are flowing like crazy, because he is not here to watch with me.
It is moments like this that hurts so much because he was such a big part of my life for 38yrs. I just miss him so much !!!
Thanks for letting me vent.

I can identify with your post. Although Sam and I didn't watch the same show you & Larry did, there are still shows ... songs, places, even foods ... that trigger a flood of tears for me. I miss Sam every day. But we keep on putting one foot in front of the other, don't we? It's a huge comfort knowing that others are on this journey with us.
Wishing you peace ...
Those moments , they serve a purpose. Crying releases toxins in the body but also helps us to remember. There were times during our marriage that our Love was piut to the test and doubt would creep in, those moments have help me release the guilt and know that the love was very much real and very much strong.
Love to you.

But then, TV is holding little interest for me these days. I find when I watch, I watch a lot of cooking shows. They seem "safe".
I was also able to read again for awhile, but I'm not able to do that right now. As Michele says, with time............
Love to all,
Linda
Hang in there, Joann. It does get easier, maybe not as easy as we'd like, but easier.

I know how you feel. When you spend over 30 years with one person like we have they are such a big part of every aspect of your life both big and small it is so hard to do anything or talk about anything that they were not a part of and it is so hard to know they will not be a part of these thing again. There will always be those silly things that were our silly things that we loved to share together. We have to believe that these memories will someday bring us happiness or contentment like they did when we shared them.
Hugs to you. My thoughts are with you,
Kathy
