Who do we contact at DS about the threads/posts that are being removed? It seems if one person that is in charge does not like it, like Deb said, poof it is gone. I too saw nothing wrong with his post - there were pros and cons, & isn't that what DS is all about? How do we contact someone at DS? it seems the only other alternative is to have someone open a similar member group and they would be the moderator.

Sorry to make a correction, but Floyd notified me that his account was temporarily closed by DS. I asked how he knew. Floyd sent me the email he received from DS Support.

The email is very clear in stating temporarily closed.

I find this situation offensive. I do not believe that our threads should be censored for the only reason that people express their feelings which may be contrary to others. We must all respect each other and our postings. We come to this site to share our grief -- we all continue to say that everyone's grieves in their own way; therefore, we should not be judging one another. I do not believe that it's a coincidence that the threads that go poof always involve certain membes. I find that completely unacceptable. Inasmuch as I have been straight out at work the past couple of day, I missed the thread entirely. However, based on the postings this evening, I believe I get the gest of it. I want to comment that although I did not see Floyd's initial posting, I think I agree with him entirely. If a person has remarried, they are no longer a widow or widower. I am sure that they will always continue to grieve their spouse and the love they had; however, they have started a new life that is differently than the one we are traveling. So Deb I guess I could be the next to go "poof". Peace and love to all, Jude

From anger I have transitioned to sadness. It is bad enough that each and every one of us is facing such unique challenges in our lives -- emotional and physical. Why must we chastise one another? Why not welcome everything who feels the need to be here as long as he or she is respectful toward others? My understanding was that this site is for people who have lost a loved one -- it shouldn't matter what any individual thinks and feels and then has a need to post it. If you do not agree and feel the need to respond, it should be done respectfully. If you agree and want to post, it also should be done respectfully. Too many brave people have lost their lives over the last 234 years of our history to ensure that we enjoyed many freedoms -- one of the most important is freedom of speech! We are all never going to agree with any one person 100 per cent of the time -- but come on -- everyone here is in pain -- some extremely vulnerable and others a little further along. After experiencing what probably is one of the most horrific things a human being can experience -- losing a loved one -- why must we be judgmental over what someone says that we disagree with? Please, our loss should have matured us and should have in some way shown us some compassion. For those who are still dealing with extreme anger, maybe that should be the topic that they should discuss -- we should not be bashing anyone and we should not be censoring anyone's posts. These are my two cents and I apologize to those who are angry and are now going to be angry at me. But above all, I feel the responsibility for being true to myself and to others!

I for one missed (Floyd's) post so staying out of that other than replying. I came here as I am sure all of you did. My life changed on May 10th 2010 into such heartache and pain. I found here at DS people who understood more than any one could. I hope I never say anything that hurts any one of you here. We all are traveling this same horrible road. We each are dealing with this in our own way.
Grief has no reason and no 2 handle it the same. We need to be able to say what we think or are dealing with in hopes that others can understand. We will never all agree to the same way but need to respect each other no matter what. After all we are all trying our best without our love to go on in life.
