Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I think they UTOMtically pull posts started by people who close their accounts. I am guessing he got upset about what some people were saying.
I personally didn't view in his no longer a widow post where he violated anything.
After posting this reply, I assume I'll be the next to be shut down.
Blessings to you all in case I get hit with the "poof" wand.
Debbie
The point is that we are all different in our approach to our own situations. Listening to others gives us the scope of seeing things from a different perspective. To disagree is perfectly O.K. And even if it gets a little bit personal, we are adults, and we have the option of just ignoring certain threads or certain people.
But I believe that everyone's feelings and opinions are VALID. To remove them because someone got pissed off or got their feelings hurt is not acceptable to me. And there were many posts on the thread in question that I thought raised excellent points, and they are gone as well. Including mine.
Finally, I generally put some time and effort into my posts, and I resent them being indiscriminately removed over such trivial reasons. Just my opinion, folks. Nothing more. Nothing less.......Joe...:-)
Only the DS Admin staff can close an account or remove a thread. Members and CLs do not remove threads and cannot close accounts.
You know, while I have no way of telling, if all that you are saying is true, I am just real curious as to why the whole discussion thread got removed and by whom? Was it Floyd? It seems to me that someone had to have been upset and reported it to those who are empowered to have it removed.
This is the third thread that DS has taken off on us, and I don't think I am alone when I say that it is not a very good thing to do. And I resent it. We NEED to be able to express ourselves honestly and openly. If not here, where?........Joe....:-)
